Letter from the President

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Hollis Historical Society
P.O. Box 754
Hollis, NH 03049

Dear Neighbors and Friends,

As we head to the end of our fiscal year (May 31), I am pleased to report that the Hollis Historical Society is on solid financial footing. We are on-budget, we have implemented controls that allow us to better track spending, and we have invested recently in some key restoration projects to better support our collections. We are well funded to support our programs, our museums and our collections.

But as my term as President winds down we are faced with a challenging dilemma. Our Vice President, Program Chairman and Co-Editor of the Newsletter, Kathy Pasko, is moving to Connecticut. Since she was slotted to assume the presidency, we need to fill the roles of President and Vice President. Most of the existing board of directors have already served the executive roles.  It’s time to find new leadership from the membership. Please consider volunteering to be considered for a leadership position. HHS needs these roles filled if it is to continue to be successful. These jobs require just a few hours a week but have a very positive impact on the organization and the community. If you are interested,  please call me at 465-2810.

Sincerely,

Pete Lewis
